You have to admit, the paradigms and metaphors for the Internet (and when I say Internet, I mean the old-school TCP/IP Internet, not whe World Wide Web) has vastly changed the way that we think of computers, and the way that computers think about us. Just close your eyes for a second and think out loud about what you would have done twenty years ago if you wanted to fully understand what it would take to take an image of the top of an average building in the heart and soul of Manhattan and interpose it with a little grey square that represents the antiquated wide world and overinstabilizes the ever-lengthening tightrope of our current reality-tv, beanie-baby, who shot JR, I like Ike mentality of the Omninet.
